King Joseph got his first vaccination doze

Monarch of the Wallenes King Joseph of the Wallens, has received his first vaccination against corona today. He got the Pfizer,


De Jonge has been invited because the king has more risk on covid for a shot. The King hoped on a Moderna vaccine but said he would probably get the vaccine from Pfizer, but like everyone else, he is ''glad that he got the jab'', he said.


The available vaccines were first distributed among people who are at extra risk of becoming seriously ill from the corona virus. The rest of the vaccines are administered in order of year of birth. On Monday, the youngest people who could make an appointment were born in 198


The pace of vaccination has increased rapidly: in the past week, one or two new birth years were able to schedule their appointment every day. However, the first major vaccination program is forced to run a little longer than planned.

Due to delivery problems with Janssen's vaccines, it will now take two weeks longer before everyone who wants to has had their first shot. That moment is now on the calendar for mid-July. It is expected that from September the corona measures can be further relaxed, because then everyone will have received her or his possible second shot.
